My Work

Through film, theater, poetry, music, and movement, my work explores healing, resilience, spirituality, transformation, and the reclamation of voice.

Touches of humor course through the veins of my work.

Dinner At JoJo’s

Dinner at JoJo’s is my award-winning romantic comedy short that I wrote, directed, produced and starred in (opposite a fly).  It was my NYU thesis film, and was honored as best film, best production design and special effects at First Run '89: The 47th Annual NYU Student Film Festival.  Chicks with Flicks People’s Choice Award. The film won the People’s Choice award at Chicks with Flicks, 1989. It has been honored at various festivals and by numerous organizations over the years such as NYWIFT, Women Make Movies, and Center for Photography in Woodstock.

No Thank You I'll Twist Some More

Music and movement groove me back to 17, with my first film No Thank You I’ll Twist Some More. One of the earliest music videos, it was a call to recall our interconnectedness. Using Chubby Checker’s iconic song, while playing hooky from high school, I got people doing the twist on the streets of New York—then edited their movement into a flow so that many became one. The film aired on WABC TV New York Hot Tracks, and was shown in nightclubs in Los Angeles, Tokyo, and New York, and to the US Navy to cheer up the troops.
